Represents the area below locus 3. Does not include the smaller region; only the larger region running the extent of the north-baulk.

No change in soil color or consistency change was detected. Rather, I decided to establish this locus as I began to excavate below the one-course rounded-rectangular stone formation.

No change in the scant finds. Mostly fragments of animal bones. Potsherds are undiagnostic, some handmade. Dr. Smith posits they may be Iron III sherds, judging from the color and fabric.
