Place: Ar/Ge.T31.53

This locus is west of the LB floor. The matrix is a yellow brown sandy clay loam with a high level of gravel inclusions.
We found a portion of a sickle blade (Ar/Ge.T31.53.L.01) in the center of the locus, along the line of rocks on the western side, at 2283.41 masl. The sickle blade was just north of a concentration of large ceramics sherds which is in the center of the locus. This concentration of sherds is located in a roughly L-shaped lens of medium/dark brown sandy clay loam with moderate gravel inclusions. We also found a portion of a groundstone (Ar/GeT31.34.L.03) in the ceramic scatter at 2283.33 masl.

The density of ceramics is high in this locus. The vast majority of sherds are coming from a concentration of ceramics in the center of the locus. We found a piece of groundstone (Ar/Ge.T31.53.L.02) near the center of the locus at 2283.57 masl. We found a large ceramic disk (Ar/Ge.T31.53.CO.01) near the border of Locus 53 and Locus 54 at 2283.23 masl. Along the eastern wall of the locus, there is what appears to be bedrock, but we ran out of time and were now able to excavated further to test this.
