Place: Ar/Ts.SLT13.15

An area enclosed by a line of stones located just to the east of the locus 5 stone basin and where the locus 13 wheel was recovered. It's also surrounded by locus 10 floor where lots of ash and charcoal are visible, so my initial hypothesis is that this could be a kiln feature. I distinguished this from locus 19 where this feature extends to the north, but functionally they may be equivalent and can be combined. Bone content has gone down considerably in this locus, as would expected if this were indeed a kiln feature. Also, a possible waster came out of this locus, collected and saved with the ceramics. In the end, this turned out to be a pit dug into bedrock. Likely an LB pit under an Achaemenid surface represented by loci 10 and 19. Some stones in a linear arrangement crossover into the pit, which I photographed and removed to further expose the pit.
