Place: Ar/Ts.WSAC3.19

Strip of soil between the linear stone feature (10) and Locus 14 in WSAC3, extending from NE baulk to wheelbarrow ramp, roughly 5 m. The matrix is the clay-y cultural fill, with some darker areas near the stones and the ramp because of the taphonomic effects on the room's slope. The locus ends at the floor of WSAC3, with some stones of the paved floor (16) sticking out of the wheelbarrow ramp area which might lead to a potential entrance to the room in the NW wall. However these stones do not articulate with the linear stone feature, so it is possible that the latter is from a later occupation. The bottom of the locus consists of clays and mottled areas with some charcoal; one piece was taken for analysis. There was a large, coarse ceramic platter sticking out from the soil of this locus beneath one of the stones of Feature 10; two fragments fell off and were taken.
