Place: Ar/Ts.WSM2.46

A locus dug along the SW wall to expose its bottom. In the W corner the bottom of the SW wall came into view, but at the other end of the locus we did not reach the bottom. The matrix was a dark brown silt. This is surprising because the red clay had been visible at a higher elevation in this area, yet here it gave way to a matrix that looked more like the silty wash seen in the NE. A charcoal sample was found in the SE end of this locus (Ar/Ts.WSM2.46.C14.01), the only one we have from this elevation.
