Deposit of dark orange clay located near the eastern baulk and right below the lowest wall stone of the loc 4 room wall. They deposit appeared to consist of blobs of melted clay sherds, which I initially interpreted to be a pile of melted wasters since I had conceived of this as part of a possible kiln feature which later came under doubt. I took a sample of a couple of the chunks I originally thought might be wasters along with the very nice workable clay just to the south.
