6/29/13 The matrix just below sod is the typical black silt--a clean, unrocky deposit with average ceramic densities. The locus covers the entirety of the operation. I closed the locus upon the discovery of a wall along the south/southwest side of the trench, on a diagonal axis (see drawing in notebook for 6/30).
