This locus is located in the eastern half of the trench. It is adjacent to locus 10 and bordered by the SE and NE walls. Both courses of the wall are fully exposed and I can see a third course in some areas. The soil is beginning to change to a coffee colored (medium roast) brown. This soil is somewhat looser than the darker black soil in the previous locus in this area. There are a lot of rocks along the NW wall of this locus. I feel many of them may need to be broken at some point as they appear to be floaters. I can see plaster on some areas of the wall. No small finds, charcoal samples, or soil samples in this locus. This locus is not a context locus. I created this locus to further find a soil change. Since the previous locus here was showing some spots of medium brown, I decided to dig down and see if I could level the medium brown color. Some areas, particularly toward the center of the room are still very dark (black).
