This locus was created to take down the soil along the NE wall that appears to be a possible alcove. I chose to do this to investigate the possibility that there was not a hole in the NE wall, rather the wall routed north and came back down after 2.2m of gap. This locus is located between locus 15 and 16 and north of loci 20, 18, 24, and the NE wall. We took a single pass down to expose the rocks around the \\\"cove\\\" to see if they are floaters. I also cleaned the NE wall around this locus for photo purposes. I found a second course of stones to the NE wall in the north (back) of the cove. It appears that this space is an alcove. The soil is dark and loose.
