Unfortunately, only half of this locus was screened as we did not find clay soil or cultural deposits until half way through the locus. The south half of the locus was largely wash dark brown aerated soil while the north half of the locus contained clay deposit with very light and yellow clay.This locus is bordered by the NE, SE walls and the baulk. It is also bordered by locus 5. We found a hearth in the north east corner of this locus along the wall and under a large hearth pot sherd. I took 5 soil sample cloth bags from inside the hearth in this locus. I also found worked bone in this locus. Originally, I opened this locus to find the continuation of clay I saw in locus 5. At the bottom of this locus, I found clay like floor around the hearth area. I also found a a large stone extending from the SE wall about 1.5 m and about 1 meter from the baulk. I do not know what this stone could be but it is worked on both sides and goes all the way to the floor.
