Place: Ar/Ts.WSS1&2.05

This is the floor locus for the entire room WSS1&2. 27 macrobotanical samples were taken from the floor before it was dug (Ar/Ts.WSS1&2.05.MB.01-27). There is a pictorial representation of the grid in E Fagan\\\\\\\'s fieldbook, Day 24.

The silty, fine-textured brown clay was entirely removed from Locus 5 on 7/29, exposing the orange sterile clay (primarily on the lower slope near N wall) and inclusions of decomposing rocks and charcoal. Some areas had a harder, lighter (in color) matrix that we also removed to bedrock.

This locus includes the entire floor of WSS1&2 with the exception of the various features of WSS1 and WSS2.
