This context was characterized by a compact, medium yellowish brown soil. It was fairly well sorted, with a homogenous clay-like appearance. While it was not as overtly clay-like in texture as T37 A (locus 2), it similarly lacked cultural materials. Though we intended to reach bedrock in this unit at almost a meter deep we decided to alter this mission given the presence of alternating greyish brown/darker brown bands in the profile. This appears to evidence paleo-lake deposits, which is interesting given the relatively high elevation of the unit.
