This locus was characterized by a poorly sorted dark brown soil, but was considerably more compact than the previous loci. It also contained small (6-10 cm) pieces of degraded tuff as well as degraded black stone inclusions. Just below this context we encountered bedrock and decided to close this operation. In this context, however, we did find a little bit of pottery and lithic materials.
