This context was characterized by striations of tan and dark brown soil. This appears to evidence alluvial activity or paleo-lake deposits. This is interesting since, to date, we did not suspect that prehistoric lakes reached such elevations. Given the depth we concluded operations in this unit although we did not reach bedrock.
