The operation is set on a slope so once we had the interior surface level we switched to locus 2. This also happened to coincide with a moderate shift in the soil matrix to a slightly lighter medium brown sandy silt. The clay content in this layer also appears to be higher suggestive of a surface. Material densities interestingly have moderated as well.
