This grinder-polisher is made from a porous and light weight stone. One of the surfaces is noticeably more smooth (and appears less porous) than the other suggesting use. The morphology of the tool is ovular. The edges are nicely rounded indicating the intentionality of the overall form. Based on observations from the naked eye it appears that this object would have been utilized on its proximal/ distal ends as well as on its face. The size easily fits in the palm of one's hands and thus would have been desirable for grinding or polishing activities.
