This ceramic disk, like the others uncovered in T38, is a repurposed ceramic sherd. The thickness, coarseness, and color of the object provides ample evidence. The ceramic object is black on red burnished ware, the fabric of the object is well-made albeit coarse. The sherd was worked into a circular form. While it is not perfectly round -- two of the sides are somewhat linear -- the smoothness of the edges evinces the extent to which the object was worked. The overall morphology, nevertheless, is that of a round disk.
