Locus 3 was opened on July 9, 2016. It is a half circle within the cromlech ring located in the N-E part of the trench. It measures 4.10m NW-SW and 2.09m NE-SE. This area is distinguished from locus 2 (which covers the other half of the inside of the cromlech) because it is a different soil.
7.5 YR 4/2 brown (but taken when wet) silty clay with gravel where basalt is decaying.
