Remarks

Locus 11 is the soil, rocks, and cobbles beneath the surface construction in the west (upslope) of locus 6 (Burial 02). This area was opened up after we realized that a large faced wall stone on the western side of the chamber barely started in the open area of the chamber and continued back (possibly past) the southern wall which is constructed of 3 courses of 3 rocks across. In order to see if there is an antechamber or second chamber.

In the process, we uncovered a very large basalt stone (1.04 x 0.79 x 0.56(?)) that sits partially on top of the southern wall. Elevations of this stone: top -0.94, bottom -1.40

Around this area we found unidentifiable bone fragments, a molar, and vessel sherds.

2 pieces of obsidian

4 indeterminate sherds, 1 Group A sherd, 1 Group D sherd;
