Locus 17 is the chamber construction in Burial 01.

The level of the four corner of the top part of the chamber:
NE: -100 cm (1979 m)
NW:-95 cm (1979.05 m)
SE:-73 cm (1979.27 m)
SW: -82 cm (1979.18 m)

The level of the bottom part of the chamber:
NE: -173 cm (1978.27 m)
NW:-160 cm (1978.4 m)
SE:-165 cm (1978.35 m)
SW: -159 cm (1978.41 m)
Center: -189 cm (1978.11 m)

The measurements of the opening of the chamber are as following: the northern side is 1.80 m, the southern side is 1.76 m, the eastern side is 0.90 m and the western side is 0.95 m. The measurements of the bottom of the chamber are as following: the northern side is 1.80 m, the southern side is 1.40 m, the eastern side is 0.99 m and the western side is 0.95 m. The depth of the chamber ranges from 1.06-1.22 m below the capstones. The northern wall has a height of 1.12 m, consisting of 3 courses of medium lightly shaped stones. Each course has 4-6 rectangular or square stones with a few small stones in between. The sizes of the stones forming the northern wall range from 0.15 m x 0.12 m to 0.57 m x 0.60 m. The southern wall was constructed mainly by a large single boulder, which is actually bedrock with the side toward the chamber being faced. The size of this basalt is 1.57 m x 1.09 m x 0.60 m. The bottom of this wall is recessed toward south. There are also two middle size stones at the top of this wall aside this boulder. The eastern wall was built with the same method as the southern one, i.e. constructed by a faced bedrock boulder. The measurement of this basalt boulder is 1.45 m x 1.40 m x 1.00 m. The western wall was formed by four courses of less artificially processed middle size stones with a few small stones in between. Each course contains 3-5 stones. The largest stone of this wall measures 0.35 m x 0.30 m and the smallest stone measures 0.12 m x 0.07 m.

The soil matrix made the floor of the chamber is a layer of white clay, which is quite compacted and difficult to excavate. This floor is uneven with the four borders relatively higher than the middle, where the skeleton and vessels were located at. The white clay also filled in the slots between the rocks at the lowest course of the northern and western wall.
