Remarks

This context refers to the join between walls (loci) 9 and 24. It is characterized by small (7-20cm) stones that are both round and angular. Some of which are granite. The wall is two stones wide and has an average width of .38m. There was only one course unearthed during excavation. Given the complex architecture -- and extensive number of walls in this area -- it is worth explicitly stating that this context is distinctly associated with wall 24 and not wall 15 (which is fewer than 10cm to the east). This is interesting given the apparent relationship between locus 24 and locus 22 (the burial architecture). It is also interesting given that the function of wall 24 remains unclear, making the fact that it played a role spatial allocations/ divisions noteworthy.
