I decided to name each 10 cm layer of soil removed as a new locus until I encounter a soil change. As such, Locus 1 of Mirak Operation 1 consists of the first 10 cm removed from the trench including the top soil. This layer yielded no materials of any sort and was comprised of a soft dark soil. Some small roots and a scattering of stones and nothing more.
