This area refers to the light tanish brown compact clay-matrix north of locus 48 (and part of locus 49) in the 2017 northern extension of T38. This soil was completely void of cultural materials, standing in stark contrast to the adjacent locus. Of interest, this area is situated immediately west of the area where locus 15 (the north-south terrace wall) tapers out. It is situated around locus 51 (also known as T37F), a sandage from 2016. The sterile nature of this locus suggests that we have reached the northern extent of this architectural feature. It should be noted that since this is not a cultural layer we did not excavate the context entirely.
