This context lies west of the concentration of stones in the SW corner of the operation. It was originally believed (hoped) that this area was an interior surface. It is characterized by a medium brown, silty sand matrix with a moderate to high material density. The locus is quite small and its overall shape resembles a right triangle, 3.5m on the west and 1.5m on the south. Upon further investigation it became clear that this area was subject to amelioration (likely from bulldozing activity). Consistent with the rest of the trench (and western slope writ large) the cultural materials associated with this area were almost exclusively early bronze.
