Place: Ar/Ge.T45.09

Layer covered by locus 7 and covering bedrock. It measures 4 x 1,6 m and was excavated along the E side of T45 as part of the deep sounding opened in order to assess the depth of bedrock. It is made of light brown/yellowish soil with frequent inclusions of charcoals. Three radiocarbon samples were collected from this locus. It appears to be associated with locus 8 (wall) and might represent a living floor. However, archaeological materials from this locus are scanty and thus challenge its functional interpretation. Flotation of the soil sample collected from this deposit revealed a high concentration of both charcoals and seeds, thus suggesting the remnants of subsistence activities in this area.
