Subsoil layer covered by locus 9. It covers locus 12 (equal to locus 4) and bedrock. It is located in the N portion of T46. It is made of light brown soil and has a stoney consistency (just like locus 2 along the E side of T46). It represents a transitional deposit between topsoil and bedrock in this area.
