Designated MAE1732--radiographed, XRF
A fragment from a small LB jar. The decorative schema consists of two circumferential polish bands on the uppermost shoulder, both approx. 0.465 cm in width, separated by 0.1 cm. At the base of the second line, two additional polish lines extend inferiorly, and skew off the sherd edge, suggesting either oblique, vertical, or web stripes applied down to the body or simply over the shoulder. The superior lip and superior internal surface are slightly darker than the internal surface and may have originally been polished. Dense circumferential rotational striations are visible on the exterior and interior surfaces. The short neck features 90 percent coverage by pale yellow corrosion. In addition to the fine sand, significant frequencies of medium sand are visible in the fabric. The internal surface features moderate amounts of perforating sand inclusions. Breaks are rough.
