This locus is located in the northern side of the triangular trench extension off the SE corner of NT2 - a thicker lense from the small loci at the bottom of the southeast trench extension. Dark grayish silty loam with charcoal flecking and periodic ash pockets. Pockets of orange bedrock/clay are also present, perkolated up from the bedrock just below this level. Tiny bone fragments and obsidian micro-debitage throughout. Artifact density was moderate and several artifacts from this locus sat directly on bedrock. This locus corresponds to locus 5 in the trench proper.
