Designated MAE194--radiographed, XRF, SAXS. An undecorated fragment from what is likely an LB trapezoidal vessel, known from Gegharot and Aragatsi Berd. There is a single possible decoration on the exterior body, but it is just as likely to be a string or thread impression, a single impressed line running upper left to lower right and measuring approx. 3.2 cm. While the rim shape is listed as 'rounded,' the superior rim is almost flattened. The interior morphology suggests a laying clay process, where several applications of wet material were added to build up wall thickness. The interior also features significant horizontal striations or impressions from fabric or wiping motions with fabric. In addition to the medium sand, significant amounts of very coarse granite sand and pebbles are visible in the fabric. These large granite particles are also visible in moderate amounts perforating all surfaces. Limited amounts of pyrite are also visible in all surfaces. Breaks are rough. Sherd is crumbly.
