Burned area located on top of yellow clay bedrock. Contained large ceramic sherd fused to possible iron(?) slag (or possible ceramic waster). Collected good size carbon sample. Artifacts collected within immediate vicinity of feature while exposing it were collected in this locus. Carbon dated to LBA, and pottery is 60% LBA. This date is main reason I'm considering the clay floor LBA, and the stone paving above it Iron III.
