Large pit feature dug into locus 48 floor and yellow clay bedrock. Material consists mostly of bones. A hard packed black clay rim 25cm thick surrounds the pit. (This clay lip is locus 59). Carbon sample taken from lower section of pit (Ar/Ts.SLT1.58.C14.1). Soil sample also taken at bottom of pit (Ar/Ts.SLT1.58.SS.1).
