Shoulder-to-body sherd, mostly composed of body. Very dark and burnished sherd with high quality decoration. Decoration occurs on the lower shoulder as 6 wavy lines bounded on the top and bottom by one furrow each. The six lines are parallel and of congruent form, suggesting they were made by a comb tool. The vessel was likely burnished at the leather-hard phase, flattening the ridges of the combed design. The topmost and bottommost wavy lines disappear into the upper and lower bands just prior to the furrows, lending support for a burnishing. A well-made wheel-thrown vessel.
