Polishing traces from the exterior bleed over the rim to the first 4cm of the interior surface (but the preervation is worse). Concomitantly, the reddish brown interior color extends over the lip of the pot and halfway down the rim. All polishing marks indicate a horizontal polishing technique. Faint corrosion marks on both the interior and exterior surfaces. The line at the top of the shoulder is faint and may simply be created by the neck to shoulder transition. While there is a high frequency of very coarse sand inclusions there is also a good deal of medium sand present. Delaminated clay layers evidence a slab technology. Designated MAE 639.
