Ge BC1 is located 1.23km NNE (bearing 19°) of Gegharot fortress along the lower southern approach to Ashot Yerkat (0.87km, bearing 178°) (map quad E4g).
This cluster of cromlechs is located on a steep slope near the intersection of the foot of the Pambak range and the Tsaghkahovit Plain.
This large cluster of more than 35 standard, paved, and stepped cromlechs extends 65m north-south and 60m east-west. As the tombs move up the slope of the mountain, they become increasingly more tightly packed, suggesting that the earlier burials were set on the lower limits of the cluster while the later burials built up slope were forced to crowd as space within the cluster became more restricted. Unfortunately, erosion has taken a severe toll, disturbing each of the visible tombs to varying degrees.
