This reservoir (plate VIa) is located just 0.45km south of reservoir 1 and 1.72km south (bearing 163°) of Tsaghkahovit Fortress (map quad B4l).
Unlike Ts Reservoir 1, which is nestled in one end of an elongated basin, Reservoir 2 occupies the entirety of a large circular depression surround on all sides by bedrock outcrops except for a small notch on the northern end that allows the reservoir to be tapped.
Ts Reservoir 2 is substantially larger than Reservoir 1 and more formal in its construction. 211m east-west by 145m north-south, Reservoir 2 appears to be substantially deeper than reservoir 1. It also boasts a concrete, rather than stone, dam at it northern end which regulates flow into Ts Canal 2.
No surface materials. See discussion of dating problems in the entry for Ts Reservoir 1.
