At 1.9km southwest (bearing 231°) of Sahakaberd fortress, Sk BC 23 is the westernmost cluster in the Sahakaberd survey quadrant (map quad B3f).
This small group of cromlechs lies on a bluff just above the watercourse that marks the western limit of the Sahakaberd quadrant. It is remarkable that they survive given the evidence for considerable transit along this valley.
Only 8 cromlechs compose this small cluster: 3 mounded, 1 paved, and 4 standard. All are quite small, 1-3m in diameter and built of small basalt blocks or basalt and tuff cobbles. The mounded cromlechs rise a maximum of 40cm above the surrounding ground surface.
