Sk BC 27 is a rather isolated set of cromlechs, 0.40km southwest (bearing 208°) of SK BC 20 and 0.37km northeast (bearing 55°) of Sk BC 26 (map quad B3d).
Unlike most of the clusters in this quadrant, Sk BC 27 was found within a wide basin surrounded by low hills on all sides except the north. No evidence of disturbance was recorded in the cluster.
This cluster of no more than 25 standard cromlechs appears to have been organized around a series of dense sub-clusters. While the sub-clusters are generally discrete, with gaps of 5-10m, the burials within each cluster are tightly packed on top of one another. This makes it impossible to describe the burials according to construction style. The tombs are quite large, ranging from 6-10m in diameter, and all are constructed of medium to large shaped or unworked basalt blocks.
