Located 1.33km northwest (bearing 308°) of Kolgat settlement 1, Reservoir 2 is part of a single water management system along with Kolgat Reservoir 3 and Kolgat Canal 4 (map quad E2a).
Set in a valley, this reservoir is fed by a few natural watercourses descending the northern flank of Kolgat. Still in use today, it appears to water fields just to the north beyond the northern survey boundary.
The diameter of this reservoir is approximately 100m.
