This kurgan is located 3.22km west (bearing 253°) of Hnaberd fortress on the west bank of a natural stream opposite Ma Canals 15 and 6 (map quadrant B2e).
Positioned along a natural stream, the kurgan was built on a plateau that slopes gently down to the north, atop a large outcrop of bedrock.
The kurgan is not particularly large, measuring only 7.1m in diameter and 20cm in height above the surrounding ground surface. The mound appears to be constructed of a low earthen mound covered with an outer layer of small tuff and basalt cobbles. The size of the kurgan would suggest an assignment to the Late Bronze Age, but the lack of a visible structural cromlech could argue for an earlier date in the Middle Bronze Age.
