This bone appears to have been sawed into this flat rectangular form. Given the length and lack of porosity in the bone it was likely created from the long bone of a small to medium sized mammal. There is a thin slit in the center which is likely natural (i.e. where marrow would be housed). It is unclear if this morphology is the product of butchery activities or the production of some kind of cultural artifact.
