The primary characteristics of this ceramic disk typify Kura-Araxes pottery. The disk appears to be made from a re-utilized sherd of black and red burnished ware. This sherd is also the standard coarseness and thickness of pottery from the period. This is especially clear from the way in which it is fractured along slab layers. Of particular interest this rounded form has a notch along one of its edges with a diameter of 16.97mm. This is the first disk noted in T38 with such a characteristic. The overall morphology of the object is round albeit the edges with the exception of the notch are not perfectly smooth and somewhat rough.
