On 06/21/12 LK changed this sherd from WSG.11.CO.01 to a C object so that it could be coded in this table. Not certain what the object is. It could be a part of a handle, but it could also be just a pro tome as occur on some of the vessels that Haerinck published from Iranian Azerbaijan. One end seems to depict an animal, with a highly minimal rendering of a face and perhaps horns on either side.Judging by fractures, there seems to be a continuation of the handle (?) projecting off from the top of the animals head as well as down the body (where it widens as if close to joining with vessel body. But very difficult to make out. Sending for INAA.
