Gegharot Trench 46

T46 is placed in the location of an anomaly detected by magnetometry survey. It is located 5 m S of the top of the magnetometry grid. The anomaly is expected to bisects the trench. The operation is proximate to T43, which was originally intended to capture the same anomaly. The Operation was first opened as a 4 x 3 m, which was progressively extended until it reached the final dimensions of 8 x 7 m.
LK: Note that the below coordinates and elevations were measured with the GNSS, which gives elevation readings that appear to be almost exactly 147m lower than those of the total station. In order to maintain the relative positions of the trenches at Gegharot, 147m was added to the GNSS elevations, and it is these "corrected" figures that are provided below.
