This locus is the same matrix as locus 3 above, a dark loamy soil, but covers the western and southern corners of the trench (4 m by 2 m). For elevations see notebook (above is center elevation). This locus has not been removed yet but was part of separation of operation due to slope and removal of topsoil/locus 2. Closed on 7/8/10, upon which level underneath was declared Locus 8.
