12.10.12 A body to base sherd of an unusual bowl. It has a pronounced base--slightly more pronounced that they type 2 bases, but is not a type 2 bowl. Thicker. Bigger. Not as well made as the type 2s. It appears that the interior surface was painted, but it's heavily eroded. And calcarious deposit on the exterior makes it difficult to see color and treatment.
