The vessel was coded before restoration. It is a coarse cooking pot with extensive evidence suggestive of burning, including black clouding and cracking. It is broadly a type 23 jar, but the rim is newer than those drawn, with a two part shape (it would be rectangular, if not for a slight widening at the exterior).
