This Locus is consists of the lighter clay above the bedrock that emerged in the same area of Locus 03 along the NW side of the trench. This locus did not have any materials and ends at emerging bedrock in the area. In the West corner of the trench it was necessary to dig deeper than in the North corner in order to arrive at this locus as the trench is on a slope. Also along the SW side of the trench Locus 05 intrudes into Locus 04, effectively marking the end of the locus.
