Place: Ar/Ge.T44.03

This locus is situated under locus 2 in the western part of the operation. It refers to the somewhat compact, tan-ish brown sediment. It is enclosed in the area west of locus 4 (the north-south wall) and locus 6 (the east-west wall). It is situated west of locus 10, but we believe it *should* be underneath this context as well when we dig farther The width indicated in the metrics is an average given that the overall shape of the context. The matrix is moderately sorted and characterized by small, somewhat angular clasts. It contains some small stones (5-10cm in size) and a comparatively high density of cultural materials, namely pottery. We hope that this is the wash layer over an interior floor!
