Gegharot Trench 44

We began operation T44 on the western slope of Gegharot as a result of a large, linear anomaly discovered in the 2016 GPR survey. This anomaly was approximately 23m north-south and 3-4m east-west, it was oriented roughly north. The SE corner of this operation is situated approximately 46m east of the SE corner of T39. What started as a 4x3m unit quickly became a 11x8m operation. LK: Note that the below coordinates and elevations were measured with the GNSS, which gives elevation readings that appear to be almost exactly 147m lower than those of the total station. In order to maintain the relative positions of the trenches at Gegharot, 147m was added to the GNSS elevations, and it is these "corrected" figures that are provided below.
