This locus refers to the pit in the southeast corner of the operation. This pit is situated at the intersection of W01 and W02. It was a figure-eight shape and filled with locus 28, a compact dark brown matrix. This fit does not appear to have been lined, but was cut directly into bedrock. It contained one granite stone and some decayed fauna.
